The Visual Neuroscience Group at Radboud University is part of the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, a research center that studies neurophysiology, visual perception, neural plasticity, and translational research. This research group studies how the activity of groups of neurons results in behavior. They investigate how visual perception and cognition can be explained in terms of electrical activity in networks of communicating neurons. Their goal is to study these processes from the level of single neurons to large scale brain networks. The focus of their current research is to understand adaptation and memory in early visual cortical areas.
