Guillaume Buc is CTO at FineHeart (Pessac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France).
Before that, he served as CTO for Pixium Vision from 2013 to 2022, where led the development of PRIMA as Pixium's second-generation bionic vision system based on implantable photovoltaic chips and laser-emitting wearables. He was responsible for staffing a multidisciplinary R&D team (electronics, optics, mechanical and biomechanical engineering, algorithmics, software) from scratch, and led the development stages (including prototypes fabrication) up to regulatory clearance for first human implantation study in France and in the US (3 years cycle from team ramp-up to clinical study acceptance).
