Research in the Bio-inspired Advanced System & Integrated Circuit (BASIC) Lab spans a wide range of areas from analog / mixed-signal integrated circuit (IC) design to emerging microsystem applications, with a special focus on biomedical / sensor / power / display / neuromorphic systems that need miniaturized low-power high-performance IC solutions for efficient and effective sensing, processing, interfacing, and powering.

This includes the following applications:

  • Low-power high-performance analog / mixed-signal IC design
  • Biomedical system / neural interface system / implantable device / sensor IC design
  • Power management IC / DC-DC converter / regulator / wireless power / energy harvesting IC design
  • Display driver / pixel compensation / touch sensor IC design

  • Any emerging microsystems that need IC solutions
