Josechu Guerrero is a PhD Electrical Engineer and Professor of Systems and Automatic Engineering at the University of Zaragoza and a founding member of the Engineering Research Institute of Aragon, I3A, where he has been Secretary and Coordinator of the ICT Division.

His research activity focuses on computer vision, three-dimensional vision, omnidirectional vision, visual control and robotics. He is currently involved in combining computer vision, robotics and deep learning techniques for the research and development of assistive and augmented reality systems, including human assistance and visual prosthetic simulation, in several research projects.

In more than 25 years of experience as a university professor, he has continuously participated in and directed competitive projects of the National, European or Regional Plan and published more than 100 international papers in scientific journals and conferences, collaborating with researchers from numerous universities in Europe and the USA. He has been deputy director of the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering and Coordinator of the Doctorate program in Systems Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Zaragoza. Since 2021 he is also Scientific Collaborator of the Spanish "Agencia Estatal de Investigación".
