Paul Stoddart is a professor and research fellow at the Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. He is also the director of the University's ARC Training Centre in Biodevices. Dr. Stoddart earned his PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Under the umbrella of the Applied Optics Group at Swinburne, Stoddart’s research projects include fiber optic sensors, Raman spectroscopy and laser nerve stimulation. These projects have applications in implantable biomedical devices and sensors, an area of interest for Dr. Stoddart.
