The Ophthalmic and Neural Technologies Laboratory (Ghezzi Lab) is a multidisciplinary laboratory promoting cross-fertilisation among a variety of expertise, bringing together materials science, computer science, engineering, life science, and medicine by the convergence of physicists, engineers, neuroscientists, and ophthalmologists cooperating to accomplish innovative projects.

The lab's mission is to develop innovative ophthalmic and neural technologies to better understand diseases and, eventually, improve the quality of life of people with ophthalmic and neural disorders. Ultimately, the lab aims to translate their research findings into clinical practice.

The lab started as Laboratory of Neural Engineering at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland in 2015 with the Medtronic Chair in Neuroengineering.
