Chris McCarthy is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia within the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, and within in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology. Also within the School of Software and Electrical Engineering, Dr. McCarthy is also the Director of Industry Engagement. His research focuses on computer vision algorithms for robotics, as well as in intelligent transport systems and human-computer interaction (particularly for assistive technologies).<br/>Chris also currently serves as Stream Leader for the Swinburne Smart Cities Research Institute, leading both the Intelligent Transport Systems and Infrastructure streams. Within the School of Software and Electrical Engineering, Dr. McCarthy also serves as Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Coordinator.
