Led by Dr. Shelley I. Fried, PhD, the Neural Prosthetic Lab seeks to improve the effectiveness of CNS-based neural prosthetics by understanding how and why neurons respond to electric stimulation. The lab uses this knowledge to develop improved methods of stimulation. Projects focus on retinal prosthetics, DBS and other devices.
