IDEALAB aims to propose, develop, and demonstrate novel and useful bioelectronic, nanophotonic and optoelectronic devices and interfaces for the applications to energy, medicine, and environment. To meet this objective IDEALAB explores, engineers and exploits interesting characteristics and phenomena of nanomaterials and biomaterials, and uses them in novel device and interface architectures. Their research integrates fundamental scientific knowledge with forward-looking engineering approaches, and it spans conception, modeling, material preparation, device fabrication, characterization, and their system-level applications.
