The Vision + Cognition Group at the University of Washington is a research laboratory focused on human visual processing, including how contextual aspects of a visual scene influence perception and brain responses in visual cortex, how visual attention allows us to select locations, features and objects, and how blindness leads to the reorganization of the occipital cortex. The research laboratory is within the Department of Psychology and led by four faculty members: Geoffrey Boynton, Ione Fine, Ariel Rokem, and Scott Murray.
